Jaaved Jaaferis wife allegedly duped in 16.24 crore investment scam; BMC official suspended

BMC Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Patil has been suspended for allegedly cheating actor Jaaved Jaaferi's wife of 16.24 crore in an investment fraud. Patil and associates are accused of using forged documents for a Bandra redevelopment project. An FIR has been filed, and Patil is reportedly absconding as the case is transferred to the Crime Branch.
