Israeli defence minister says 'no US demand' to withdraw from Lebanon

Israel's Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that the US has not demanded a troop withdrawal from southern Lebanon, a key Lebanese condition in ceasefire talks. Both Katz and Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized Israel's commitment to maintaining a security zone to protect northern residents, with the army actively dismantling Hezbollah's infrastructure. Lebanon, however, rejects the occupation and foreign interference, as US-mediated talks continue in Washington.
