India underspends on big-ticket schemes, spends just 41% of allocations in nine months

Government schemes are seeing slow fund utilisation. In the first nine months of the fiscal year, only 40% of the budgeted funds were spent. Revised estimates show a significant cut in allocations. Many major programmes are projected to use less than 75% of their original budgets by year-end.
