Great Nicobar project a recipe for ecological disaster: Jairam Ramesh to Defence minister

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has alerted Defence Minister Rajnath Singh about the Great Nicobar Island Project. He states the project in its current form is a recipe for ecological disaster. Ramesh suggests alternative measures proposed by naval officers to strengthen India's defence. These alternatives would cause less damage to the region's ecology.
