Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell refuses to answer questions from US House panel

Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking, was subpoenaed to appear before the House Oversight Committee. The committee sought her testimony regarding her connections with a disgraced financier. However, Republican committee chairman James Comer stated that Maxwell invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This constitutional protection allows individuals to refuse to answer questions that could potentially incriminate them.
