Centre waives customs duty on cotton imports till October 30

Cotton imports will be duty-free from June 1 to October 30, 2026. This move by the Centre aims to increase cotton availability for India's textile industry. The exemption covers all customs duties, including the Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess. This will help lower input costs for manufacturers.
