Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced a $2 billion national heat pump rebate program aimed at helping Canadians lower home energy costs and reduce emissions. Eligible lower- and median-income households could receive up to C$10,000, while other eligible homeowners could get C$2,000. The program is expected to launch in early 2027, with the government considering retroactive eligibility from fall 2026.
