Byron Allen to replace the Late Show with Stephen Colbert in CBS late-night shake-up

CBS is set to end The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on May 21, closing a major chapter in late-night television. From May 22, the network will launch a new two-hour comedy block led by Comics Unleashed With Byron Allen at 11:35 p.m., followed by Funny You Should Ask at 12:35 a.m. The transition reflects a shift in CBS programming strategy toward externally produced content. Allen Media Group will handle airtime and advertising sales.
