Bangladesh's ties with India 'will depend on' Ganges water treaty renewal: BNP

Bangladesh's ruling BNP has stated that relations with India hinge on a new Ganges Water Sharing Treaty. The party seeks immediate talks with New Delhi for an agreement that meets Bangladesh's expectations. The current 30-year treaty expires in December.
