Assam polls: 722 candidates in fray after 67 withdraw nomination

As many as 722 candidates are set to contest the Assam Legislative Assembly elections after 67 withdrew their nominations on Thursday. A total of 815 candidates initially filed nominations for the 126 constituencies. The elections are scheduled to be held on April 9.
