After layoffs, Microsoft targets 7% of US workforce for buyouts - whos affected?

Microsoft is offering voluntary retirement buyouts to approximately 7% of its U.S. workforce for the first time in its 51-year history. This program targets employees at the senior director level and below, provided their age and years of service total at least 70.
