'100% confident that Tejas Mk1A will be delivered this year': Defence Production Secy Sanjeev Kumar

Secretary of Defence Production Sanjeev Kumar expressed 100% confidence in the Indian Air Force receiving Tejas Mark 1A fighter jets this financial year, despite delays. He cited engine supply issues from GE Aerospace and ongoing development as reasons, assuring that 90% of the aircraft is ready and integration of weapons is nearing completion.
