'Cocktail 2' BO Day 8 [LIVE]: Eyes Rs 75 crore as 'Welcome to the Jungle' arrives

Homi Adajania's 'Cocktail 2', starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, has closed out its first full week with a domestic net of Rs. 70.50 crore after a steady run of weekday declines: Rs. 6.75 crore on Day 5, Rs. 5.25 crore on Day 6, and Rs. 4.25 crore on Day 7. As the film enters into Day 8 the domestic net now stands at Rs. 71.39 crore, with the worldwide gross crossing Rs. 109.07 crore. The timing is significant as Akshay Kumar led multi-starrer comic caper, 'Welcome to the Jungle' has officially released today, June 26, with early reports suggesting a decent opening occupancy signalling the screen war between the two films is only just beginning.
