Chris Anne Affleck passes away at the age of 83

Chris Anne Affleck, mother of actors Ben and Casey Affleck, has passed away at eighty-three. She was a dedicated educator and a social justice advocate during her lifetime. Chris Anne was also a freedom rider in the segregated Southern United States during the 1960s. She supported her sons' careers, connecting Ben Affleck to his first acting opportunities. Her grandchildren were a significant animating force in her final two decades.
