Watch: West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari urges migrant workers to return, cites 125-day job scheme

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has urged migrant workers to return to the State, highlighting the 125-day job guarantee scheme. He said the government would launch a village-to-village campaign using folk artists to encourage workers to come home and work with their families. Adhikari also cited opportunities in sectors such as fish farming, agriculture, betel leaf cultivation and pineapple farming. He said workers could receive 34,500 under the scheme and that the government would seek higher wages for unskilled labourers and support for construction workers.
