University of Pennsylvania raises undergraduate tuition by 3.9% for next academic year

The University of Pennsylvania's Board of Trustees approved a 3.9% tuition hike for 2026-27, raising total attendance costs to $94,582. This comes as the university allocates a record $347 million to undergraduate financial aid, partly due to the expansion of The Quaker Commitment program. The decision follows growth in the university's financial position and anticipates a new federal endowment tax.
