QS World University Rankings 2027: How IITs and other top tech institutes fared in the latest rankings

Indias leading engineering and research institutions have strengthened their presence in the QS World University Rankings 2027, with IIT Delhi emerging as the countrys top-ranked institute at 118th globally. IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, IISc Bangalore, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee and IIT Guwahati also secured notable positions, highlighting Indias growing reputation in higher education, research and graduate employability.
