NCERT pulls Class 8 textbook after judiciary chapter row: How should students be taught about institutional truth?

NCERTs withdrawal of its Class 8 Social Science textbook after the judiciary chapter row has raised a larger classroom question. Should children learn about institutions only through their ideals, or also through their visible strain? The issue is not whether difficult truths belong in civics, but how they should be framed for young learners without distortion, fear or sanitisation.
