Karnataka school holiday: Schools, colleges shut in Hosanagar and Sagar taluks of Shivamogga due to heavy rain

Schools and colleges in Hosanagar and Sagar taluks of Karnataka's Shivamogga district will remain closed on July 8 due to heavy rainfall. The holiday, announced as a precautionary measure, also applies to anganwadi centres and PU colleges. Authorities have instructed educational institutions to compensate for the lost working day by conducting classes on holidays. This marks the second school closure in the district since the onset of the monsoon amid continuing adverse weather conditions.
