Jammu and Kashmir announces summer vacation for schools in Jammu division amid heatwave

Jammu and Kashmir schools in the Summer Zone of Jammu Division will observe summer vacations due to intense heatwave conditions. Primary classes will start holidays from June 1, 2026, while Classes 6 to 12 will begin their break on June 8, 2026. This decision aims to protect students from health risks associated with extreme temperatures exceeding 43 degrees Celsius.
