Before Concepts of Physics became every JEE student's bible, IIT Kanpur professor H.C. Verma solved a bigger problem

Harish Chandra Verma, widely known as H.C. Verma, transformed physics education in India by writing Concepts of Physics after realizing foreign textbooks did not fully meet the needs of Indian students. First published in 1992, the book became a trusted resource for JEE, NEET and Olympiad aspirants. Beyond authoring textbooks, Verma taught at IIT Kanpur, developed hundreds of low-cost physics experiments, supported science education initiatives, and received the Padma Shri in 2021.
