Anand Varadarajan education: A look at the career path of this IIT Madras alumnus appointed as the new Starbucks CTO

Starbucks has appointed Anand Varadarajan as its new executive vice president and chief technology officer (CTO), succeeding Deb Hall Lefevre. An IIT alumnus, Varadarajan holds masters in civil engineering from Purdue University and computer science from the University of Washington. He spent 19 years at Amazon overseeing technology and supply chain operations, and earlier worked at Oracle and startups. At Starbucks, he will lead global technology initiatives, focusing on digital capabilities and operational efficiency.
