Winter snow shovelling can increase heart attack risk, study warns

Shovelling snow is not only tiring but also can be dangerous for your heart. Research from Quebec, published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal, states that heavy snow removal can increase heart attack risk by up to 16% in men. Risk elevates with age, mainly for those over 45 with underlying cardiovascular concerns. The study highlights caution, pointing out the factors such as physical exertion, cold weather, and repetitive lifting.
