Waterlogging damages paddy stocks in Fazilka, Ambala as farmers blame poor drainage

Heavy rainfall has caused severe waterlogging in grain markets across Punjab and Haryana, resulting in significant damage. Farmers have reported that lakhs of quintals of stored paddy are now soaked and ruined. Lack of drainage infrastructure has been identified as a primary issue contributing to this situation. Continued rainfall is forecast, raising concerns about additional damages to crops already affected.
