Vedanta to split into five companies next month: Report

Vedanta Limited is set to demerge into five listed companies early next month as part of a debt reduction strategy. The restructuring, approved by a tribunal in December, will see Vedanta Limited house base metals, with four other entities for aluminium, power, steel and energy. Chairman Anil Agarwal anticipates a higher combined market capitalisation following the demerger.
