States asked to expedite capex loans utilisation

The Department of Expenditure has urged states to expedite their use of interest-free loans for capital investment. With only a quarter of funds allocated utilized, swift action is necessary to meet spending targets. The central government released around 51,000 crore under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment by October 1. The department is actively working with states to resolve delays and identify projects.
