Parbati Barua, India's first female elephant mahout, has a remarkable legacy with elephants which has even impressed Durandhar 2 actor R Madhavan. She began taming wild elephants at a young age using traditional Assamese methods. Barua once guided fifty rogue elephants back to the forest, saving human lives. She continues her work at seventy, caring for her beloved elephants. Her lifelong dedication has earned her numerous prestigious awards and honors.
