Sanjay Gupta death: He once had a fallout with a Bollywood star leaving him with no work for 3 years. 'We didn't speak'

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, who died at 59, once revealed how his fallout with close friend and actor Sanjay Dutt affected his career, leaving him without work for three years. The two had collaborated on films such as Kaante, Musafir and Zinda before misunderstandings involving people around them led to a four-year silence. Gupta claimed that industry insiders stopped taking his calls because they believed Dutt had asked them not to work with him, an allegation he said was untrue.
