Russia says state-owned stake in gold producer UGC to be put up for public auction soon

Russia's Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced that the state will soon auction its stake in gold producer Uzhuralzoloto (UGC). This follows a July 2025 court ruling that seized the majority stake from businessman Konstantin Strukov, who was accused of obtaining property through corruption.
