Religious content should not be mixed with education: Relative on alleged homework row at Hyderabad school

A Hyderabad school terminated a teacher for assigning religious homework to Class 2 students. The school management took this action after a formal complaint was lodged by parents. Protests erupted outside the school premises, leading to police intervention and detentions. BJP leaders alleged the curriculum aimed to ruin the city's atmosphere. The school management has permanently debarred the teacher from future employment.
