Quote of the day by Stephen Levine: The more control we exert, the harder our bellies become, the tighter our hearts American author's powerful lesson on letting go

American poet and meditation teacher Stephen Levine believed that trying to control everything can leave us tense and unhappy. In an interview with Randy Peyser, he explained that conscious living means paying attention to the present with compassion. Levine also distinguished happiness from joy, calling the latter a birthright. His message encourages accepting uncertainty and living more fully instead of fighting what we cannot control.
