The Chinese money plant, formally known as Pilea peperomioides, appears simple at first glance. Its round leaves look smooth and ordinary. But researchers from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory found that hidden beneath those circular leaves is an elegant geometric structure called a Voronoi diagram.
