NTPC to set aside Rs 16,70,000 crore for capex over next 11 years; focuses on nuclear power, renewables and battery storage, eyes 250 GW capacity by 2037

NTPC is setting ambitious goals with a proposed investment of 16.68 lakh crore over the next eleven years. By 2037, the company aims to nearly triple its energy generation capacity, focusing on renewable sources to achieve 136 GW. Additionally, plans include establishing 30 GW of nuclear power by 2047, alongside the development of a significant green hydrogen hub near Visakhapatnam.
