Met Gala 2027 gets a new theme: What to know about extraORDINARY and its exhibition dates

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced extraORDINARY as the theme of its 2027 Met Gala exhibition, running from May 9, 2027, to January 9, 2028. The show will explore the hidden meaning of everyday objects through fashion and design. It replaces a planned John Galliano retrospective, scrapped following criticism over his past remarks.
