Karnataka: Governor sent Hate Speech Bill to President to see it goes into cold storage, says Home Minister

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara accused Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot of deliberately sending the state's hate speech bill to the President to delay its implementation. The bill, passed in December, aims to prevent hate speech and maintain social harmony, with penalties including jail time and fines. The Governor's action followed a plea from the opposition BJP.
