Iran's newly-created strait authority discloses 'controlled maritime zone' at Hormuz

Iran's new Persian Gulf Strait Authority has established a controlled maritime zone in the Strait of Hormuz. Transit through this zone, defined by specific connecting lines between Iran and the UAE, will now require prior coordination and authorization from the authority.
