Iran's economy was weak before the war, now it's worse

Irans economy, already under strain with nearly 50% inflation, has worsened sharply after more than five weeks of war. Prices of basic goods, medicines and services have surged, with some items rising multiple times, while the currency has weakened further, forcing the central bank to issue higher denomination notes.
