Indias first export of fresh Uttarakhand Litchi to Italy marks entry into European market

This significant move, facilitated by APEDA, saw one metric tonne of the sweet, aromatic fruit dispatched on June 18, 2026. The initiative promises better returns for local farmers, who are now seeing prices around 25% higher than domestic rates, boosting the region's agricultural economy.
