India has its own moon-like landscape hidden in Ladakh. What makes this Himalayan place so unusual?

Lamayuru in Ladakh is famous for its moon-like landscape, featuring bright yellow, clay-textured formations believed by some studies to have developed from ancient lake and river deposits.
