In 2006, Maryland couple bought a 116-acre farm. 20 years later, it's home to otters, beavers and dozens of bird species

Maryland couple Louise and John Durocher bought a sprawling 116-acre farm, initially for hunting. Over the years, they ceased farming and let nature reclaim its space. They cultivated a variety of native flora, nurturing an ecosystem that attracts diverse wildlife. Now, their granddaughter Sarah Starman is dedicated to preserving this legacy, hoping that future generations will enjoy outdoor pursuits like kayaking and fishing in Tavern Creek.
