ISRO successfully tests Gaganyaan crew module's main parachute

ISRO successfully tested Gaganyaan's main parachutes in Madhya Pradesh. This critical test qualified the parachute for expected load conditions. A simulated assembly was dropped from an aircraft at 2.5 km. Drogue and main parachutes deployed to reduce payload velocity safely. This successful test provides confidence for the first uncrewed Gaganyaan mission.
