Govt to fund 50% of deepwater exploration costs under Rs 84,084 crore Samudra Manthan scheme

The Indian government will provide financial support under the Samudra Manthan scheme for deepwater drilling activities. Recently issued guidelines extend this support to previously awarded Open Acreage Licensing Policy and Discovered Small Field blocks. Additionally, the financial assistance covers seismic surveys and a portion of exploratory well costs.
