Govt says India has ample petrol, diesel supply, calls for crackdown on diversion

The govt has confirmed that petrol and diesel supplies are ample for every home and community in the country. Instances of regional shortages are owing to the misallocation of subsidised fuel for industrial activities, not due to an overall lack, it said.
