Festive travel bookings 50% ahead of last year as Indians opt for multiple getaways

Travel trends show a growing preference for multiple short trips during India's festive season. Nearly 23 percent of Zostel travellers made repeat bookings last year, reflecting this trend. Popular destinations include Hampi, Gokarna, and Rishikesh, with notable increases in Himalayan bookings. The busiest travel period occurred during Christmas-New Year week, significantly surpassing average check-in figures. Many travellers are booking shorter trips spontaneously rather than planning months in advance.
