Dharavi Redevelopment: Upper-floor home rehab hinges on ground-floor eligibility

Upper-floor residents in the Dharavi redevelopment project may face eligibility challenges, as their rehabilitation depends partly on whether the ground-floor occupant qualifies. Under a Maharashtra government resolution, they can get 300 sq ft homes in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region if they prove occupancy before November 15, 2022 marking the first inclusion of upper-floor residents in such schemes.
