DGFT speeds up silver imports through IIBX, other nominated agencies

The government has simplified the procedure for obtaining import authorisations for specific silver items. This change should help genuine applicants receive approvals more quickly and efficiently. Import authorisations will only be available for purchases made through the India International Bullion Exchange or specified banks. Existing applicants will have the chance to revise pending applications using this new process.
