Coal blocks to be allotted only through auctions: Govt

The government has successfully auctioned 136 coal blocks since 2020. Future allocations will also follow a competitive bidding process. The Minister of State for Coal stated that the government is open to examining Telangana's proposal for the Tadicherla coal block.
