Delhi witnessed its coldest night in the month of October on Thursday with minimum temperature dropping to 12.5 degree celsius. Prior to this, the coldest October night was recorded at 12.3 degree celsius on October 31, 1994.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 254 in ITO and 246 in Patparganj, both in the 'poor' category, as per the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) data.
According to railway sources, these trains will be stepped up to run back on their original routes by November. All the trains will be run as 'special trains'.
