Watermelon deaths in Chhattisgarh: One teen dead and three hospitalised after eating suspected contaminated seasonal fruit

A tragic incident in Chhattisgarh's Janjgir-Champa district saw a 15-year-old boy, Akhilesh Dhivar, die after allegedly consuming contaminated watermelon. Three other children fell ill with similar symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea. Authorities suspect food poisoning from watermelon cut hours before consumption.
