US may lift more Venezuela sanctions next week, Scott Bessent says

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent indicated that additional sanctions on Venezuela could be lifted as soon as next week to facilitate oil sales. He also plans to meet with IMF and World Bank heads regarding their re-engagement with Venezuela, with nearly $5 billion in frozen IMF assets potentially deployable for economic rebuilding.
